A Pregnant Pause

This is my second pregnancy, although you wouldn't think so the way my husband has been. It seems that he too has the endorphins that you get when you give birth, and all my previous pregnancy symptoms and issues have been erased from his mind, forever. It's very frustrating to say the least. Especially when you've got all these pregnancy hormones raging around your body!

My symptoms and issues include but are not limited to:

  • Mood swings (think PMT x 1000 and then some).
  • Very sensitive sense of smell (this time round can. not. stand. the. smell. of. stale. beer.).
  • Annoyed and grossed out to the max by stupid things (loud chewing and other noises associated with eating in the same fashion and a wild animal).
  • Feeling of being ugly, fat and a sideshow freak (thoughtless, deemed funny in your head comments will do that to a pregnant girl).
  • Tiredness, despite a daily afternoon nap with 2.5yo toddler (hell man I'm growing a freakin baby here, it is despite what you think, HARD WORK).
  • Not very accepting of construction criticism, even though that is not what your really mean (pregnancy hormones, are indeed a very powerful thing!).
  • General grumpiness at the world, even though nothing specific is wrong.
Hell, I guess that really at the end of the day, being pregnant isn't my favourite thing in the world.  I love the end product, don't get me wrong.  Just not the feeling that I've lost total and utter control of my entire body for 9+ months, and yes I do have moments of joy and wonder at what is going on inside, but the uncomfort and lack of control really gets to me.

Beginners

Last week I was lucky enough to win a double pass to the preview screening of Beginners.

I loved it.  I made me think about well everything good, bad, happy and sad in my life.  Past, present and future.  I thinks that's whats makes a movie not just a good movie but a great movie.

I like to think that it has opened my eyes, and was the inspiration to start this little blog.  To get things out of my head, once and for all.

I'm even more convinced that Ewan McGreggor is ever so handsome, especially in stripped sweater.

I really wish I had hair like Mélanie Laurent, oh and that red dress!

I rate it 4 out of 5 stars!
